Datana

Datana is a Free Software solution for building statistical knowledge and schemes, sharing and agglomerating data flows and schemes, and generation of visual result under various shapes. Its design is primarily focused on interoperability by using known standards in knowledge management.

This developpement is just beginning, under the catalism of Angenius Institute, an handful of free software developers, and operational cases on the ground (for now in France only).

Roadmap

• late august 2005 : first alpha prototype
• october 2005 : beta release and implementation on ground-based applications (EED project)

Around the project

• We'll probably use Powl as a skeleton framework. That marvelous tool is GPL and offers everything about modularity so we can use it as a backend engine for datana and advanced administration tool.
